Job Description
We are in need of a skilful Senior Structural Draftsperson who will prepare detailed drawings from sketches and designs for Structural Engineering projects. You must also provide regular project feedback to both project and documentation managers as well as programming and coordinate project drafting resources to achieve agreed time, financial and quality controls.
The Senior Structural Draftsperson has the authority to carry out tasks in accordance with the responsibilities detailed within this Position Description and as per the direction of the Project Leader or Principal.
Qualifications
- ● Technical or associate degree in Drafting or Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- ● Minimum 10 years of drafting experience gained within a consultancy environment.
- ● Strong project management, time management and site inspection skills
- ● Demonstrated experience in structural drawing of relevant projects including:
- – Commercial / Industrial
- – Tilt panel construction
- – Multi-storey apartments
- – Marine / Resource Construction
- – Setting out the concrete slab and steel plans/layouts
- ● Competent in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Australian Standards, Local Government Design Manuals
- ● Understanding of relevant Australian standards, State and Local Government policies and guidelines
- ● Knowledge and application of Structural engineering codes, construction standards, specs, procedures and construction techniques
- ● Time Management skills
