About The Role:
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team, working on smart compliance technology for the social housing sector. This is a hands-on position, taking products from initial concept through to market delivery. You will also develop IoT solutions that improve safety and efficiency in housing. You’ll work closely with our product development team to design and develop electronic systems. These systems integrate seamlessly with mechanical, firmware, and software components. As a result, you will help create smart compliance products that make a genuine impact on people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
- ●Design and develop electronic circuits, PCBs, and power systems for Auro’s smart compliance products
●Produce detailed schematics, layouts, and supporting technical documentation
●Specify and source electrical components, ensuring suitability, reliability, and compliance
●Develop comprehensive technical documentation packages including specifications, test procedures, and BOMs
●Establish PLM best practices for version control, change management, and cross-functional collaboration
●Support design for manufacturability and assembly of electronic systems for both prototype and high-volume production
●Carry out validation testing of circuits and systems to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- ●Work closely with mechanical, firmware, and product teams to ensure seamless system integration
●Partner with external suppliers, PCB fabricators, and assembly houses to maintain quality standards and production readiness
●Contribute to product validation, compliance, and certification testing (e.g., EMC, LVD, safety standards
Requirements (What We Are Looking For)
Essential Requirements
- ●Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical discipline
●2+ years of experience in electrical/electronic design
●Proficiency with PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, or similar)
●Strong understanding of circuit design, power management, and communication interfaces (e.g., LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi)
●Proven experience creating accurate technical documentation and production packages with strong attention to detail
●Experience with product compliance testing and certification processes
●Self-motivated with project management skills and ability to work independently
Technical Expertise
- ●Knowledge of real-world installation conditions and electrical system constraints
●Experience with PLM system setup and management
●Understanding of design validation processes, EMC testing, and quality control methodologies
●Familiarity with both small-batch prototyping and large-scale production workflows
Desirable Additional Skills
- ●Experience with IoT device development and low-power system design
●Knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance and safety products (e.g., fire safety, emergency lighting, access control)
●Experience with firmware/hardware integration and debugging
●Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques (e.g., breadboarding, soldering, test equipment use)
